Have you spent hours looking at your logo and tweaking the various items of your marketing collateral? Maybe you've fine tuned your internet site appears like a lot of times til it's “just right” and lost days crafting the right “program” for the market, However you still don't have enough Clients?
Are you currently aggravated by the lack of reaction to your offer? Would you get yourself a few enquiries, however they never go anywhere? Is it starting to get you down and erode your confidence? Will be the disheartened from your lack of progress?
Does returning to work with someone else start looking appealing ... or necessary?
You're not by yourself!
Numerous Consultants, Coaches and Advisers launch their business with much fervor and gusto only to find themselves stressed and not having enough cash a couple of short months later since they don't have enough Clients.
Often, it's a hand to mouth existence - always ”hoping” that it will get better and you'll somehow get to live the life span you generally dreamed.
Wanna know why it's no longer working?
As you haven't checked to ascertain if there's a industry for your services!
Seriously, because there is a hole available in the market doesn't mean there exists a market because hole!
As discussed in last week's blog, there might be a “need” to your service, but do people actually WANT what you're offering?
I am unable to stress enough that there is so much more to creating a successful and PROFITABLE business than just locating a niche that appears good and sounds good. You may have people inform you what a good plan it's, but B-E-W-A-R-E.
To ensure that your small business will survive and in actual fact repay what you owe, it has to satisfy the following criteria:
1. People will be in pain; these people have a problem which is causing them pain;
2. These same people are actively looking for a treatment for their problem. They want their pain GONE;
3. They have money; and
4. They are able to spend their money to solve their problem and make the pain go away.
If your business idea will not meet these criteria then disappear.
Believe me, I invested 12 months of my well being and truck load of cash inside a niche that everybody said was “brilliant”. It had been an argument in media and others had tried without success, but I would definitely different.
Ha! Snort! What was I thinking?!?!
It didn't work. There were some individuals interested and everyone desired to “talk” about this, but the amount of pain wasn't sufficient to warrant action and no one desired to actually purchase fixing it.
Bah Humbug
So, when you are performing your quest, look other manufacturers already inside your niche. Are they earning money? If yes, then great! You just need to look for a unique proposition that to tell apart yourself.
In the event you can't find anyone inside your niche then tread cautiously. You need to ask “Why?”
Usually, it's as the niche is tough to monetize. You will find so few stuff that are new, novel or innovative nowadays, when you think you've think of a new idea ... sorry, you most likely haven't.
Much to my dismay, I've also experienced the industry of a fresh idea - the self congratulatory glee of coming up with somethingno you've got ever thought of ... to discover that my triumph was temporary because someone's already doing the work, tried it or even trademarked it. Sigh ... Woe is me.
Indeed, if you return back further, you'll find most ideas have been recycled throughout history ... Coming on and on; finding favour here and there before fading out til next time.
So, test out your business from the four criteria. Ignore them your peril.
